Twenty illegal vacation properties were discovered in Amsterdam this past month. According to NL Times, the “illegal hotels” were found because of a hotline – Summer Hotline – open until August 21 that allows residents to report suspicious activity they believe could be related to illegal rentals. All 20 hotel owners could pay between €13,500-€20,000 for the offenses.
