12-Year-Old Steals Credit Card, Takes Bali Vacay

After having an argument with his family, a 12-year-old boy from Sydney, Australia identified only as Drew managed to book a flight to Bali and stay in the All Seasons hotel before his family realized he’d been missing.

“They just asked for my student ID and passport to prove that I’m over 12 and that I’m in secondary school,” said Drew to A Current Affair. “It was great because I wanted to go on an adventure.”

The boy’s mother, Emma, realized that Drew had disappeared after his school flagged him as truant.

If he was 12, how did he produce school ID to prove he was "OVER" 12 ? Must have been a smart kid to know how to book online, check in at a kiosk and get through all the checkpoints. Did he book the hotel in advance and provide a false name for his "sister". None of this adds up. Seriously, FlyerTalk, you need to dump these non-informative (usually outdated and lacking details) "news" articles, they are always half-azzed.
