10 Killed in Istanbul Airport Explosions

Two explosions occurred within Istanbul Atatürk Airport (IST) Tuesday evening, resulting in the deaths of at least 10 people, according to Turkish authorities. Local media outlets depicted footage of armed men entering the airport with assault rifles, and gunshots have been reported by witnesses, one of whom informed CNN Turk that wounded bystanders were being transported via taxi for medical attention. Terrorist groups have been implicated in the attack, and Turkish authorities have named either Kurdish separatists or members of the Islamic State as potential culprits.
