Air India suspended 17 of its flight attendants this week after they reportedly delayed multiple flights. According to an airline official, Air India is now monitoring when crew members report to airports, and the suspended individuals were responsible for delaying more than three flights.
These suspensions are part Air India’s latest push to improve on-time performance, which dropped to 79.4 percent (domestic) in April. The Indian flag carrier recently began cracking down on employee discipline as a whole, terminating a total of 272 crew members for indiscipline.
