These Are The Most Dangerous Countries To Visit In 2019

The official Travel Risk Map from Tourism Review for 2019 has been released. Which spots are the most dangerous for tourists in 2019? Afghanistan, Somalia, Libya, Mali, Yemen, South Sudan and Syria all pose the highest risks for travelers.
Tourism Review doesn’t just take into account violence, unrest and danger when naming its riskiest travel destinations. South Sudan, Niger, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, Iraq, Venezuela and Lebanon are the spots that pose the highest medical risks for travelers.

How seriously should the interactive Travel Risk Map from Tourism Review for 2019 be taken? The map serves as a pretty good indicator of the spots where tourists will face risks. Of course, adventuresome people who were already planning to head to the destinations on the map that are being labeled as high-risk spots probably aren’t going to change their minds.
This map should definitely be used in conjunction with the travel advisories that are issued and updated on a constant basis by the United States Department of State. That resource provides updates regarding specific regions and zones within countries. What’s more, it provides explanations regarding the events that have led to the Department of State’s warnings. Anyone who is considering traveling to a high-risk spot in 2019 should sign up for the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP). The Department of State also offers its own color-coded map that displays risk levels and illustrates where embassies and consulates are located around the globe.
It’s Not All Danger Zones
Risk-averse travelers can rejoice in the fact that there are plenty of safe spots to visit in 2019. Norway, Finland, Denmark, Switzerland and Iceland are all considered to be the safest countries on the planet to visit. The interactive map from Tourism Review labels security risks as insignificant, low, medium, high or extreme.
The United States, Canada, New Zealand and Japan are the safest when it comes to medical risks. Countries like China, Russia and Brazil represent the middle of the road in that category. The third category represented on the map is road safety a category in which a large portion of the globe is placed under the risk categories of high and very high.

While Iran is as safe as Europe? Really? Last time I checked, that place was on every corporatipns' list of no-go zones and on my mom and dad's list of places to stay away from.
Who, other than natives of those countries, would even think of going to any of them?
