The “World’s Best Airport” Enters the Harry Potter Universe

Singapore Changi Airport – largely known as the world’s best airport – has introduced a new feature for the holiday season: Harry Potter exhibits that recreate scenes from the movies that are interactive enough for travelers to fully immerse themselves in the magical world while they wait to board.

Fans of Harry Potter now have a lot more to do while waiting for their flights than before at Changi Airport (SIN) in Singapore. In addition to the theme park, movie theater, garden, and more, travelers can experience full-size Harry Potter exhibits recreating scenes from the movies. It’s called A Wizarding World Holiday at Changi Airport and was built in partnership with Warner Bros.

In Terminal 1, travelers can visit Newt Scamander’s Menagerie. Terminal 2 is now home to the Whomping Willow, and Terminal 3 has a recreation of Hogsmeade Village and Diagon Alley, complete with shops and restaurants.

Interaction is important to the exhibits, and travelers can dress up like characters from the movie, pose on Quidditch sticks and in Ron Weasley’s Ford Anglia, and even take part in Quidditch challenges. There are also opportunities to learn spells with a wand, a gif-making station, a quaffle toss, and a toppling coin game inspired by Newt Scamander’s magical suitcase.

Throughout the airport, there will also be daily snow and light shows. The Harry Potter exhibits are out now through the middle of February, open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., but the interactive activities within the exhibits will close on January 6. Participant spots in the games are limited each day, so make sure to reserve a time slot as soon as you get to the airport.

Isn't this a Universal franchise? I guess since Universal Studios has a presence in Singapore it would be more logical that they (and not WB) who has this exhibition?
