British Airways Flight Attendant Suspended for Striptease

A flight attendant from British Airways is currently under suspension after video surfaced of her performing a striptease focusing on nylons and shoes for an as yet unknown reason—though some officials suspect it may be part of a growing desire online for fetishists wanting to purchase used stockings.

A video has recently surfaces of a British Airways flight attendant doing a bit of a striptease that highlights her stockings and shoes. The video has been circulated among employees and resulted in the flight attendant’s suspension.

In the video, the anonymous flight attendant can be seem removing her nylons, that she said she’d worn all day “with no knickers,” news.com.au reported, and then suggesting to the video’s recipient that “I wish you could smell this.” She does a similar show with two pairs of shoes before partially unbuttoning her blouse, blowing a kiss to the camera, and signing off.

The airline confirmed there was a suspension because of the video.

“We hold our colleagues to very high standards and expect them to behave responsibly,” a spokesman told news.com.au. “When this doesn’t happen we will always take the appropriate action.”

Some believe the video may be due to an increasing market for fetishists to buy used nylons, tights, and shoes from flight attendants. Crewmembers have been anonymously selling these items online, generally for about $17. The images accompanying the posts are often taken inside airplanes to confirm they’re actually flight attendants, and the pictures show off the worn imperfections, like runs and stretching. Some of the nylons have gone for up to $140.

According to an anonymous source, selling these items online helps flight attendants make a bit of extra money.

“It’s all very weird but there’s a problem underlying it, and that’s the fact that the wages are so poor,” the source told The Sun.
