Parent Thanks TSA Agents for Compassion Toward Son With Autism
Lines of travelers snake past TSA agents at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport last fall.
Flyer Angie Solis has praised members of the Transportation Security Administration for their care and attention while she traveled through Indianapolis International Airport (IND) with her 13-year-old son, Zion, who has autism. Although she feared that the hectic security line might trigger Zion’s anxiety, Solis claims that agents allowed the two to come to the front of the line and experience a “gentle security check” that did not require any contact on her son’s body.
“She spoke directly to my son. She treated him like a person with feelings and a voice and worth,” Solis said of a TSA agent identified only as Alesea.
Solis encouraged flyers who may be traveling with a person with special needs to contact 855-787-2227 at least three days before their scheduled flight.

Happy they helped the special needs person out. "Solis claims that agents allowed the two to come to the front of the line and experience a “gentle security check” that did not require any contact on her son’s body." Yes, I think anyone would be VERY HAPPY to be called to the front of the line and get a "gentle security check".
