Attempted Airport Attacker Blames Zombies

A lawyer for 27-year-old Justin Deemie, who attempted to ram a stolen SUV into the terminal of General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport (PIA) on February 17, claims that Deemie was attempting to escape what he believed at the time to be an oncoming zombie apocalypse at the time of the incident. According to authorities, Deemie hopped what turned out to be an empty aircraft after sneaking through the airport before the incident with the SUV occurred.

Relatedly, lawyers claim that Deemie was under the influence of cocaine.
