BA Apologizes for “Racist” Booting of Musicians

On Wednesday, a spokesperson for British Airways said that the carrier has apologized for an incident in which recording artists Thabo “Smol” Mabogwane and Bongani “Murdah” Mohosana of the group Black Motion were booted from a flight after the group claims they were asked to move from their business class seats for a white passenger who claimed to have a broken seat. A heated exchange followed the incident, after which the two were escorted from the aircraft.

“Comair does not tolerate any form of racism or discrimination, which is why we take any such allegations very seriously. We are in conversation with the customers and have apologized for what happened. We are now interviewing the staff involved as part of a full investigation. Once concluded we will take whatever action is necessary,” said the spokesperson.

    Well BA (Comair) have not directly apologised while accepting it was on racial grounds , so not entirely true. However as discussed in the BAEC forum thread , we have mainly concluded it was not racially motived.
