Etihad Pilot Dies Shortly After Take-Off

An Etihad pilot has died after falling ill shortly after take off. According to the airline, the Etihad Cargo plane’s first officer issued a distress call when the pilot “became incapacitated” during the flight.

He then diverted the plane to Kuwait. The pilot died while receiving medical care on the ground.

The incident happened just six months after an American Airlines co-pilot died while falling ill in the air just two miles from his destination airport.
