Pittsburgh Earmarks a Cool Billion for New Terminal

Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) has budgeted a total of $1.1 billion for a new terminal, which will consolidate the airport’s two existing terminals. The idea behind the upgrade is to cut down on the space between the ticket/baggage area and customers’ flights, and the airport has taken pains to clarify that the money for this renovation was not collected via local taxes, but rather from revenue collected in the Airport Mall.

Yea, right. They collected 1.1B from the airport mall. I doubt that mall has made anything close to that kind of money since inception. But, then again, at the prices they charge anything's possible.
