TAM Launches Premium Business Class With Brand New Menu

TAM Airlines has launched its Premium Business class, unifying service on flights to Brazil with LAM Airlines.
As part of a push to unify services across both carriers in LATAM Airlines Group, TAM Airlines has launched a new Premium Business class product, which will soon be available on flights between Brazil, Europe and the U.S. Travel Pulse reports the product is directly in line with LAN Airlines’ premium class product, ensuring brand continuity between the sister airlines.
With a focus on the in-flight dining experience for travelers flying both within South America and on transcontinental routes, the new TAM Premium Business class will serve authentic Brazilian dishes, such as jambu pesto and cará purée.
Those who enjoy a glass of wine will be able to choose from a number of favorites from around the world. According to Travel Pulse, the new wine offerings will include selections from Argentina and Chile, as well as Europe.
“The launch of the Premium Business class concept for TAM and the harmonization of our in-flight service combines the best from TAM and LAN in terms of both menu and customer service,” Jerome Cadier, vice president of marketing for LATAM Airlines Group, told Travel Pulse. “The result is a world-class product combined with the excellence and comfort that our business class travelers expect.”
In-flight crew members will also be re-trained on creating a more efficient customer service experience. Training improvements include serving children’s meals first to allow adults more time to enjoy their hot meals and carrying tablets to immediately document in-flight discrepancies and incidents.
In addition to the menu upgrades, TAM will be installing larger Premium Business class seats in their Boeing 777 aircraft. The cabin refresh will begin this month, and will be completed by Summer 2015.
