Man Accused of Groping 13-Year-Old Girl During AA Flight
A man is accused of “abusive sexual contact” of a 13-year-old girl on a flight from Dallas to Portland.
A 26-year-old man was arrested after sexually harassing a child during an American Airlines flight from Dallas to Portland. The Dallas Morning News reports that Chad Cameron Camp, from Gresham, Ore., was accused of inappropriately touching a 13-year-old girl who was traveling alone. A passenger saw his actions and immediately alerted the flight crew.
According to The Oregonian, Camp touched the girl a total of fifteen times before anyone took notice of what was happening. It was only after a crew member and another passenger witnessed what he was doing that the crew took action, moving the young girl to another seat and requesting for police force to meet them in Portland as soon as the plane landed.
Flight attendants initially sat the unaccompanied minor alone next to the window in a three-seat row, said Brent Goodfellow, an attorney representing the girl’s family. He mentioned that Camp entered the plane wearing headphones and was talking to himself before taking the middle seat next to her. When a flight attendant offered to move him to another seat, he refused, saying that he was fine.
The girl told agents that Camp used his elbow to brush her arm and shoulder, leaned into her, nudged her with his elbow, twice offered to share the same set of earphones for music, repeatedly placed his hand on her knee and upper thigh. When she moved his hand to break contact with him, he laughed and tried again, according to the complaint.
“She told this guy over and over, ‘stop touching me,'” Goodfellow said. “At one point, he got angry and threw his earphones at her and continued to talk to himself.”
Once the flight attendants were aware of what was happening, the girl was immediately moved to another seat in the front of the plane along with the witness, while Camp was moved to the back. According to the attorney, “when the plane landed, the girl and another witness were allowed to exit the plane before Camp”.
He was immediately taken into custody by the police and booked at a Multnomah County jail on Thursday morning.
American Airlines spokesman, Ross Feinstein, said that the airline cares deeply about the well-being of their passengers.
“We take these matters very seriously and have cooperated fully and immediately with law enforcement officials in their investigation of the suspect,” he said. “Due to the pending criminal case against the suspect, we are referring all questions to law enforcement.”

I get that the hands on knee was an assault ... but elbow against arms? Shoulder against shoulder? Does the author only fly intl. Business Class? With today's Hobbit seats passengers are shoved into each other ... touching your neighbours isn't a voluntary act ....
"guilty until proven innocent." I was just thinking that. Ouf course he needs to be prosecuted, but his name and picture should not be in the news until he is convicted.
The dude is 26? Jesus H Christ I'm 41 and he looks older than me. And AAJetMan, as much as I agree with you, people are completely irrational where it comes to children, pedophiles, etc.
guilty until proven innocent.
