AA Hires TSA Helpers at ORD

In an effort to combat increasing waiting times at security checkpoints at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), American Airlines is hiring extra workers to assist Transportation Security Administration officers and is expected to deploy the first team by the end of this week. The move is “unprecedented, but the lines are unprecedented. We’re trying to come up with solutions,” according to American Airlines spokesperson Leslie Scott. This move will allow more TSA employees to screen travelers while the new employees dispense bins to passengers and remind them to remove their shoes.
