On a recent trip with the family to Disney World, we remarked often about the total “experience” of the rides. If you’ve been there, you know that the wait for the ride is also often part of the ride itself.

Last night while boarding my flight, there were crowds of people standing around the boarding area, forcing me to dodge and weave through what can only be described as some kind of human shield.

I don’t believe that people are born frequent fliers. I think that the majority of us have learned the old-fashioned way — through experience. And if you’re a parent (I am), you know that when raising children, you are sharing the things you have learned with them.

As a last summer fling, we decided to take a family trip to Disney World. But Hurricane Irene posed an issue as we were scheduled to depart on the Sunday that the storm would hit NYC. I was able to reschedule the flight for 8 am on Friday morning

Sometimes we get so caught up in the “luxuries” of frequent travel that we forget about other important things. Several years back, this happened to me. Luckily, an AAngel at the Admirals Club in Chicago not only help me adjust my perspective, but put a smile on my face that still radiates.
