Woman Takes “Extended Stay” to a Whole New Level: 10 Years!

Joy Bricker is a Platinum Premier member of the Marriott Rewards frequent guest loyalty program — and part of the reason is because she has lived in the TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Falls Church, Virginia for greater than 10 years.

Bricker has lost count of how many Marriott Rewards points she has accumulated. All she knows is that she has given a lot of them away to her grandchildren.

The 79-year-old widow has decided to finally check out due to health issues. She will be living with her daughter in New York state.

Bricker apparently liked the idea of writing one check per month for a room rate that was negotiated to be less than $139.00 per night for a two-bedroom suite, although the exact room rate is unknown. In return, there were no utility bills, cable television bills — and a continental breakfast was available every day, free of charge.

Bricker “would give a million dollars to manage a property like this for one year.” Find out why here.
