FlyerTalk Sponsors Tenth Annual Kids First Auction: Bid on Airline Tickets, Hotel Nights, Car Rentals, Vouchers and Miles

How would you like to bid on a chance to win one of a number of great travel prizes while simultaneously supporting a worthy cause where you can have a positive impact on the lives of many children who need your help?

Beginning on Thursday, May 8, 2014 and lasting for ten days, the first of three auctions in which you can bid on a global selection of travel items during the tenth Kids First Auction — sponsored by FlyerTalk — includes airline tickets, hotel stays, car rentals and feature signature items. For example, you could bid on a chance to win a day trip to Niagara Falls on a charter flight from New York.

The second auction is scheduled to commence on Thursday, May 15, 2014; and the final auction will begin on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Internet bidding sites of FlyerTalk and eBay — so be sure to mark those dates on your calendar. Click here for access to both auction sites, each of which will be active for ten days.

New for 2014 is an auction page on FlyerTalk with unique travel items — such as mileage vouchers from the Delta SkyMiles and Air Berlin topbonus frequent flier loyalty programs; and VIP access tours of the Vatican or Versailles courtesy of Viator, which is the leading resource for booking travel experiences in the world.

Returning for 2014 is the eBay auction Internet web site of Kids First Fund, offering a traditional array of airline tickets, hotel stays, car rental vouchers, and sightseeing tours. Available for bid this year are tickets valid for any gateway served by Etihad Airways to Abu Dhabi; and although I would not count on The Residence or First Apartments being available, tickets on flights served by aircraft operated by Etihad Airways — where you can choose from Chicago, New York, Sydney, and Tokyo with more than 100 gateways in total — is still an excellent prize. Also offered are tickets on flights operated by Air Arabia, Icelandair, SATA International, Southwest Airlines, and Virgin Australia.

The following is a partial list of what is expected to be offered during the three auctions:

  • Enjoy hotel room nights in Bellevue, Desert Hot Springs, Montreal, Reno, Ottawa, Palm Beach, Philadelphia and Toronto
  • New Yorkers can fly on a charter flight to enjoy a day at Niagara Falls with a full tour, buffet lunch, and be picked up at a hotel in Manhattan — courtesy of Viator
  • Explore the wonderland of Iceland with 650 euro economy class vouchers from Icelandair
  • 25 packages from Tune Hotels for their London locations will be available

The Kids First Fund is a charity based in the United States which helps abused children in resource-poor areas of the world by developing programs which provide professional education to identify and treat abused children. For example, the fund has been responsible for creating a family shelter in Latvia which cares for abused women and their children. Every penny donated during this auction and to the Kids First Fund will be spent on projects to benefit children. No funds are deducted for salaries or administrative expense.
