If you are not yet a member of the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards frequent flier loyalty program but were thinking about joining, you are in luck: you can earn up to 2,500 Rapid Rewards frequent flier loyalty program points when you complete the following steps:

  • Earn 2,000 Rapid Rewards frequent flier loyalty program points simply when you enroll as a new member
  • Earn 250 additional Rapid Rewards frequent flier loyalty program points when you subscribe to the Rapid Rewards The Report summary via e-mail messages for a minimum of three months
  • Earn 250 more Rapid Rewards frequent flier loyalty program points when you subscribe to the Rapid Rewards E-Mail Update for a minimum of three months

This offer is only valid for the enrollment of new members of the Rapid Rewards frequent flier loyalty program. Rapid Rewards frequent flier loyalty program points do not expire as long as you have flight activity or partner earning activity every 24 months. All Rapid Rewards frequent flier loyalty program rules and regulations apply.

While I would not exactly consider this an outstanding offer, it does give you a nice head start towards earning an award flight operated by Southwest Airlines — and the Rapid Rewards frequent flier loyalty program points are free for the asking in exchange for a minute or two of effort on your part. At least one of the FlyerTalk members who have been taking advantage of this offer has reported that the 2,000 Rapid Rewards frequent flier loyalty program points have posted within 24 hours; with the extra 500 Rapid Rewards frequent flier loyalty program points expected to post after three months.

I see no expiration date for this offer; so if you are interested, I would recommend taking advantage of this offer as soon as possible — before it disappears.
