Virgin America has announced a new partnership with Rocketmiles — which rewards you with anywhere between 500 and 3,000 Elevate frequent flier loyalty program points for every hotel night stay booked at select hotel properties around the world. Book your reservation by July 15, 2013 to earn 3,000 Elevate frequent flier loyalty program points — enough for a flight on Virgin America — for your first stay.

In addition, Virgin America is giving away a chance for you to win 100,000 Elevate frequent flier loyalty program points and a Rocketmiles voucher worth $1,000.00 toward a hotel stay at your choice of destination.

To enter, follow the instructions here and submit the registration form once you have completed filling it out. This sweepstakes is open only to Virgin America Elevate frequent flier loyalty program members who are legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia and are eighteen years of age or older. Only one entry per e-mail account is permitted.

Other terms and restrictions apply.

Reaction of FlyerTalk members has generally been tepid at best pertaining to the concept of Rocketmiles, which allows you to earn thousands of frequent flier loyalty program miles when booking hotel room reservations. I personally have not used Rocketmiles myself, so I have no direct experience with the concept to give any recommendations.

In addition to Virgin America, Rocketmiles already has partnerships with American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines — and FlyerTalk members have been engaged in a “conga” where if you use a referral from one FlyerTalk member, both you and that fellow FlyerTalk member will earn 1,000 bonus frequent flier loyalty program miles.
