Radisson Blu wants you to Turn Your World Blu by participating in a promotion where you have a chance to win a grand prize which includes enjoying up to 30 nights at a collection of your favorite Radisson Blu hotel properties around the world and a total of 360,000 Miles & More frequent flier loyalty program miles — but all entries must be received by August 15, 2013.

First, you choose between four and six of your “top must-haves” to create your ultimate holiday — and if you cannot choose, you can click a button and have random choices checked for you.

Next, four Radisson Blu hotel properties from around the world are selected for you based on your interests — but you have the opporunity to change any of them for a different Radisson Blu property.

After that, you answer a question which asks “how many years have Radisson Blu hotels worldwide been offering free Internet to all their guests” and write a short essay of between 250 and 1,000 characters as to which destination have you always dreamed of visiting and the reason why you want to visit it. Once you also fill out your name, gender, country where you reside, e-mail address, whether or not you want to subscribe to the official newsletter of Radisson Blu — and accept the terms and conditions of this promotion — you will have successfully entered.

The essay will be judged according to the following criteria:

1. Creativity: How well you describe why this is your dream destination: 40 percent
2. Ability to create excitement in the destination: 40 percent
3. Clarity of Writing: 20 percent

I found the portion of the eligibility requirements which I have highlighted in bold type to be somewhat amusing:

The Radisson Turn Your World Blu campaign (“Promotion”) is open to all persons of the age of majority or older in their jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry except for residents of, or persons located in, the following jurisdictions at the time of entry where the Promotion is void: Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Brazil, Burma, Cuba, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gabon, Georgia, Iran, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, North Korea, Oman, Qatar, Quebec, Rwanda, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Zambia, any country that is subject to a U.S. government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. government as a “terrorist supporting” country, where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law, or any country which is not available as an option on the registration page of the Web Site at the time of entry.

If you are the winner, the 360,000 Miles & More frequent flier loyalty program miles must be redeemed for two economy class Round the World flight award tickets for use by you and for one travel companion designated by the you. If you are not a member of the Miles & More frequent flier loyalty program, you must first enroll before you can book your travel arrangements.

Each Round the World flight award ticket is also subject to the following restrictions:

  • A Round the World flight award ticket includes one Atlantic and one Pacific crossing
  • A maximum of ten flight segments — including a maximum of nine connecting flights — is permitted
  • There must be an interval of at least ten days between the start of the first intercontinental flight and the start of the last intercontinental flight
  • A Round the World flight award ticket remains valid for twelve months once issued.
  • A maximum of seven stopovers is allowed

There is a limit of one entry per person, household, or e-mail address. Other terms and restrictions apply.

Good luck!
