There are two promotions currently available from Delta Air Lines through December 31, 2012 if you want to gain access into its Sky Club airport lounges.
The first promotion is that Delta Air Lines is offering four one-day passes to its Sky Clubs for $99.00, which is slightly less than half the normal price.
While this offer is not as good as the one in 2010 where you were able to purchase five one-day passes for the same $99.00, it can still be useful for the road warrior who is often a passenger on Delta Air Lines and is looking for a quiet respite from the noise and crowds at the gates of airports while traveling.
Ironically, some FlyerTalk members have complained in the past that these offers actually defeat the purpose of the Sky Club lounges, as they purportedly contribute to the overcrowding of some of the Sky Clubs.
These one-day passes are not meant to be confused with the one-visit passes such as the ones offered by Groupon last year at half price, as the one-day passes are good all day long, whereas the one-visit passes are good for only one visit to a Sky Club.
The one-day Sky Club passes supposedly can only be purchased in person at a Sky Club, so you must have already cleared through the security checkpoint at airport before you can access a Sky Club to purchase these passes. Additionally, you reportedly cannot admit a guest to use the Sky Club with you.
Another offer good through December 31, 2012 is that you can purchase or renew your one-year or three-year membership with Delta Air Lines Sky Club — and when you do, you can choose from one of the following:
- Two additional months of Sky Club membership free, or
- 1,500 Medallion Qualification Miles
Although a similar promotion was offered last year, the $50.00 initiation fee for new Sky Club members will be waived with this offer this year.
Terms and conditions may apply.
