FlyerTalk Member and Son Highlighted in Magazine Article

FlyerTalk member missydarlin and her son are highlighted in a small article on page 15 in the Spirit of Alaska section in the November 2012 issue of the official in-flight magazine of Alaska Airlines.

Petty Officer Third Class Jaimeson Whiteley — who is the son of missydarlin, whose real name is Jean Whiteley and is a web content producer for Alaska Airlines who volunteers for the United Service Organizations, Inc., or USO — currently serves in the United States Navy.

FlyerTalk member nerdboytodd spotted the article — shown above — on a flight to Chicago and posted the sighting on FlyerTalk to thank missydarlin and her son for their volunteer efforts and service. Other FlyerTalk members are inspired by them and thank them as well.

By the way, the USO is apparently in sore need of travel-sized tubes of toothpaste. Please consider donating some to them if you have any tubes to spare.
