TSA Blog Offers a Full-Body Scan of Stupidity

You got to love the official TSA blog. If nothing else, you got to laugh at how stupid we can be. Apparently passengers still pack heat, loaded with bullets, plus knifes, brass knuckles, stun guns masquerading as smart phones, and plenty of baggies of green stuff to smoke.

Our wise and hard-working blogger Brian Cohen has deftly pointed out flaws with the TSA folks who’ve taken the odd laptop home. But the passenger side of that TSA medal desk has a few idiots as well. What were they thinking?

Like maybe I’ll just tuck this .32 caliber under the silk lining of my carry-on. That ought to hide it.

But the TSA blog also has stuff we can use. Should I pack stick deodorant, gel or spray? (Stick is fine in any size; gel and spray must be under 3.4 ounces.)

The effectiveness of the TSA has had plenty of discussion on FlyerTalk. Again, much of it led by Brian Cohen. And somewhere out there is a survey on perceived effectiveness. But the fact is, we ain’t ever going back to the old days of running to our gate through a metal detector wearing our Nikes.

Given the choice, I’ll take the TSA route. And maybe I’ll pass the time by reading their blog on my iPhone.
