If you are a member of CLEAR — a paid service which allows its members to clear airport security checkpoints in fewer than five minutes — you will receive complimentary Starwood Preferred Guest frequent guest loyalty program gold elite status good through February 2014. Starwood Preferred Guest gold elite level benefits include:

- A complimentary welcome gift at check-in with each stay
- An enhanced room at check-in, when available
- 4:00 in the afternoon late checkout
Be aware that the terms and conditions state that this “offer is valid for recipient of this email only, who must be a current Clear member and not currently an SPG member, and is nontransferable”, causing some FlyerTalk members to complain that this promotion will not let current Starwood Preferred Guest frequent guest loyalty program members have a shot at upgrading to gold elite status, but it is giving it for free to those who are not members. Personally, I am not sure what is the harm in allowing current Starwood Preferred Guest frequent guest loyalty program members to participate in this promotion, as I do not believe it would dilute the gold elite status level. In fact, an argument can be made that the promotion in its current form could do just that. What do you think?
Other terms and conditions apply.
