From now through August 31, 2012, when you purchase Hyatt Gold Passport frequent guest loyalty program points, you will receive up to 30 percent bonus points on your purchase, as shown below:
- Purchase 1,000 – 9,000 Gold Passport points and receive a 10 percent bonus
- Purchase 10,000 – 29,000 Gold Passport points and receive a 20 percent bonus
- Purchase 30,000 – 40,000 Gold Passport points and receive a 30 percent bonus
While the limit per year to purchase Hyatt Gold Passport frequent guest loyalty program points is capped at 40,000 points, you can receive up to 52,000 Gold Passport points as a result of this promotion because of the 12,000 bonus points you will receive when purchasing 40,000 points for $960.00 — including all applicable fees — for a rate of slightly greater than 1.846 cents per Hyatt Gold Passport frequent guest loyalty program point.
Is this offer worth it? Well, if you were thinking about purchasing Hyatt Gold Passport frequent guest loyalty program points anyway — to top off your Hyatt Gold Passport account, for example — then the answer is definitely yes because of the bonus points you can now receive for a limited time. However, if you want to purchase points primarily to stay a night at a Hyatt property, then the answer is no — unless you can find a Hyatt property for one night which will cost greater than $960.00. That could be difficult to find, even for a top Category 6 hotel.
By the way, purchased points do not count toward Hyatt Gold Passport elite membership tiers. Other terms and conditions apply.
