What is FlyerTalk to you?

First of all, FlyerTalk is the authority on anything miles and points, which is how I got hooked at the beginning. What has kept me hooked is that it is much more than that. It is an interactive, “real” community. I have met FlyerTalkers on five continents in over a dozen countries all thanks to our common hobby. So most importantly it is a community.

What has to change on FlyerTalk?

I think FlyerTalk could be a bit more “newbie” friendly at times. With over 12 million posts on FlyerTalk virtually everything has been discussed at one point, but we should still go out of our way to be nice to new members that have a question that may have been asked once (or a dozen times) before.

What do you like best about FlyerTalk?

As I said earlier, I love the “interactive” aspect of FlyerTalk. When I first joined FlyerTalk I was just looking to maximize miles and points, but throughout the years it has become much more than that. Meeting hundreds of FlyerTalkers that all come from different backgrounds yet share a common interest has been the best part.

State a platform motto or goals for FlyerTalk for the future.

I think FlyerTalk actually runs pretty well, but I am always open to considering changes to the community. Our hobby changes quickly, and FlyerTalk needs to continue to stay on top of things.
