TalkTeam is your team. It is made up of members of the community who volunteer their time to ensure that the FlyerTalk forums are an inviting and welcoming place to discuss frequent flyer programs and travel in general.

FlyerTalk community volunteers play a vital role in the success of our online community. They share insight and provide support to other members. TalkTeam members are also responsible for keeping conversations lively and on topic, ensuring that our members behave themselves and identifying and responding to the needs of the community.

Although TalkTeam is a volunteer effort, there are a number of benefits to joining our team. In addition to the gratification you'll feel from helping others and being critically important to our community, you'll volunteer beside other team members at FlyerTalk who share common interests, provide friendship and have fun -- we promise!

Current TalkBoard Members:

There are three types of FlyerTalk volunteer programs:

TalkAssist

TalkAssist volunteers are our Welcome Wagon, helping members learn how to use FlyerTalk, answer select questions, and generally get comfortable with all that FlyerTalk has to offer. Think "greeters." TalkAssist volunteers have no direct ability to edit posts or content nor discipline members and do not serve a role similar to that of our volunteer moderators.

TalkModerator

The function of a moderator is basically to serve as supervisor over the debates. The moderator has the ability to edit/delete messages, activate members and deactivate members who are troublemakers. They also support the efforts of the TalkAssists.

TalkBoard

TalkBoard is a User Advisory Council consisting of members of the community whose purpose is to provide input regarding FlyerTalk feature requests, action requests that fall outside the scope of established policies and procedures, and general user issues as may be directed to them by the FlyerTalk member population. Members of this Board are both elected by members of FlyerTalk and appointed by the host of FlyerTalk.
