Ryanair Wryly Embraces Controversy After Ground Crew Expresses NSFW Creativity

A lewd drawing, as documented by passengers at the airport, received mixed reactions from flyers and Ryanair.

Every so often, snow allows creative minds to turn the ground into the canvas of their imagination. At one European airport, a Ryanair ground crew recently used fresh powder to express their creativity. As documented by flyers and reported by Daily Mail, the workers sated their boredom by drawing a lewd figure in the snow next to a waiting aircraft.

A passenger waiting for their flight captured a photo of the phallic drawing, complete with one of the artists standing in pride of their work. The flyer shared photo on Facebook and it quickly went viral. Flyers had mixed reactions to the crudely-drawn artwork. One Twitter user called it “My favorite graffiti; better than Banksy,” while another said “Maybe a snow angel would have been a bit more appropriate?”

Ryanair, which has never been known to shy away from controversy, seemed to stand behind its budding artists with a slight correction to their creation. “While our ground crew excel at industry leading 25 minute turnarounds, art isn’t their forte,” a Ryanair representative told Daily Mail. “They’ve clearly forgotten to draw wings on their snow airplane.”

While many news sources are crediting the crude art to Dublin Airport (DUB), another facet of the controversy lies in the actual location where the art was created. When The Daily Edge asked DUB officials about the creation, they were quick to distance themselves from the situation. “It’s impossible to be certain, but that photo doesn’t seem to have been taken at Dublin Airport,” said an airport representative, suggesting that the photo could have been taken at London Stansted Airport (STN) instead.
