The ACI has named the winners of the 2014 Airport Service Quality Awards, ranking the world’s best airports based on customer service.

Ballots have been cast and the results are in! After surveying more than 550,000 passengers, the Airports Council International (ACI) has announced the winners of the 2014 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards. The trade group’s annual awards recognize the best of the best in airport passenger service, measuring 34 key service indicators.

“Airports are more than simply points of departure and arrival,” said Angela Gittens, director general of ACI World. “They are complex businesses in their own right. As such, a focus on serving the passenger has become increasingly important to ensuring success.”

Gittens noted there were many repeat airports on the list of winners, as well as many “new faces” that suggest promising changes. For all of the details on the survey and other winners, visit the ACI website.

How on Earth did DEL get onto a worldwide ranking by size??? That is simply not possible without a terminally flawed metric.

@IAN-UK: Yeah, I could have done better with my explanation. You are correct. Still, the results of the survey only include airports who paid to have the survey done. I think my point still stands: None of the listed airports were included in this survey.

I understand that only the airports that pay to be part of this organization gets recognized, but except for the North America category, I don't think any US airport would make the list.

It will be nice if you add the country name before the airport as some of the airport are not common for everyone...
