Mysterious Point Expiration Email

fairviewroad: As a Wyndham Rewards member, we hope you know how much we value you. But what you might not have known is that your membership is about to expire on NaN/NaN/NaN.
To keep your Wyndham Rewards membership active, you have to have a redemption or earning once every 18 months–which gives you -108 days to save your membership.
I'm on the lookout for a way to book a room before the rush...I hear that hotels often sell out around NaN/NaN/NaN. Guess I'll go back in time 108 days...should be plenty of space then.

Same here. Glad to see it's just a glitch, as I was very puzzled, since I'd used points recently.

Same here (also -108), and in my case I had a paid stay that posted to WR just a couple weeks ago. (And several others earlier this year.) So it's absolutely complete glitchy nonsense.

Btw, it's real email from WR, because it knows exactly how many points I have.

We are very sorry for the confusion that has been caused. There was an email that was mistakenly sent out indicating your account was going to expire. This email should not have been sent.

We're working on another communication to everyone that will confirm this email was sent in error.

I haven't seen the correcting email yet. It was disconcerting to receive the expiration email. Mine also said my account expires in 108 days. When will the correcting email go out?

Received mine last night. It says:

Looks like we might have sent you the wrong email, Kipper.

So if you just got a message from us saying your account was about to expire, well, that's our fault—and we're extremely sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

No, I think you read it incorrectly.

No one's email said their account expires in 108 days.

All the erroneous emails said it expires in -108 days. Ie, negative 108 days, which would mean 108 days ago!!!


Anyway, yes, I did receive the "correcting" email overnight:

No, they just were hungry for Indian food, but so hungry that they mispelled it. They meant: Naan/Naan/Naan.
