in flight experience, layover at FRA
hi ladies,
Has anyone travelled, Air Canada/Lufthansa - alliance flights??
How was the experience, I havent been on these two flights, so kind of nervous, it is a long flight, 7h15m from toronto to munich, then 2 hours connection time, then 7h55m from Munich to New Delhi.
what should i wear? i know a lot of people say, stay comfortable during the flight..

One thing I can tell you is that FRA is HUGE and you might have to do a pretty major walk to your other gate. I don't know when your trip is, but if you can keep your coat in your luggage, do it. I was so hot and sweaty there, just having to walk from one of the food places to my gate.
Also I think it's good to break up flights that long if you can. I'm sure some people would rather go 15 hours straight through, but if you're nervous about the length, 7-8 hours goes a lot faster than you think. It's not enough time to get really restless, but the downside is you might not get a lot of sleep if you're trying to do that.

Thank you for your trip.. I have been to frankfurt airport before, but it was a long long time ago.. so i dont remember how much i had to walk or not.. but yea i am hoping the 8 hours in flight go a lot faster than i think they will.. I was dreading to fly Emirates because it is a direct flight from toronto to dubai, approx 12 hours.. but Lufthansa seemed a lot reasonable..
Any more tips? flying first time on lufthansa, so i am quite excited..

Haven't flown on them in Y in ages; the crew are usually good but quite 'proper'. They do tend to assume if you are a woman travelling with a man, he's in charge, but are absolutely fine with solo female passengers.
I do remember a decent range of booze - they used to offer a nice digestif following the meal. But that was several years back - it's possible that it's been cut by now

So with 2 hours and walking on your own you should have enough time to transit and even get food/refresh yourself but no time for dawdling. Although I didn't walk through the terminal, it seemed huge just from my view from the bus.
