Round hair brush for travel?

I have a bob style haircut and have taken to using a rather large round hair brush to blow dry my ends in, as they curve out naturally. The brush can be a bit of a pain to pack as it takes up as much space as a pair of flats.

Recommendations other than getting a perm/straightened or bringing a smaller diameter brush (used to use a smaller brush but it doesn't look as good)? Unless someone knows of a travel flat iron that is smaller than a large round brush.

I'm usually a 1.5 bag carry-on traveler. Just a carry-on bag and my purse/briefcase so the space matters.

Thanks ladies!

There are travel flat irons out there, but if a flat iron will work for you have you considered just bringing your regular one? My full-size one barely takes any room. I've never tried one but I keep thinking a travel-sized one can't possibly work that well.

I bought the XS mini travel flat iron and I love it. It may not be "quite" as good as my bigger one at home, but it stays in my bag permanently, comes with an insulated case so if I'm rushing out of a hotel it doesn't need time to cool and all in all has been a great little tool. A friend of mine with pretty "big" hair bought it after trying mine.

I bought mine at the hairdresser, but it is available for less on the internet.

Do you also use "product" on your hair? I've found that using a very tiny amount of Plastique on the ends of my hair and then using a medium-sized round brush works really, really well in turning an outie flip into an innie flip.

In fact, there are times when I just use this stuff and then curl the ends of my hair with my fingertips as it dries and it stays curled under very nicely without being heavy or sticky. They key is using a very, very small amount of it; I use about an aspirin-sized drop on my finger and work it through my hair.

I put a small amount of Plastique into a tiny travel bottle in my kippie bag.

Makes me miss long hair, too. Short hair (I also have a bob-style) is so high maintenance.

I bought a travel sized flat iron at Target last month for $19.95. I hated it. Too small. I just pack my regular sized flat iron and usually have no problem finding space for it.
