EU ends probe of KLM Northwest Alliance
BRUSSELS, July 26 (Reuters) - The European Commission said on Friday it would close its competition investigation into the Wings alliance between Dutch airline KLM KLM.AS> and NorthWest (NasdaqNM:NWAC - News) of the United States.

....Separately, the Commission said it was set to give the green light to a tie-up between KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Northwest Airlines (NasdaqNM: NWAC - News) Corp. . They won't be required to make any concessions.
"The Commission plans to give an exception without remedies," Tscherny said. " The competition problems raised by KLM/Northwest are not serious."....
