Anyone know if WestJet are planning a Domestic lounge in Montreal?

So far as I know they have not announced any plans to set up lounges of their own, but will continue to partner with Servisair, Plaza Premium and Swiss.

Unfortunately, none of these have a domestic lounge at YUL. The only one is in International departures.

By the way, welcome to FT :-)

Plaza Premium at YWG

Question:

Can I get into the Plaza Premier lounge at YWG with my West Jet Gold coupon? YWG is conspicuously absent from the list of participating Plaza Premium Lounges on the WS site.

Thanks

Priority Pass says the Winnipeg lounge is now open.
I see it's not listed on the WS lounge page.
Will the YWG lounge be available soon for WS guests?

It's just been opened! The grand opening celebration isn't for another few weeks. We're actually in the middle of renovating the whole lounges page on our website, so aren't updating the site just now - but you can certainly go ahead and use the new Winnipeg lounge now. Be sure to post a review!

Cheers,
Darren

This is great news, I fly to Winnipeg few times a year. I saw the outside of the lounge a month ago and it looked nice (from what I could tell). Will visit it next time I head there.

YOW isn't really an airport you need to show up hours before your flight and lounge around.

Westjet has nothing to do with Plaza Premium, who opens, runs, operates these lounges.

Servisair is another company operating contract lounges around Westjet areas.

You have to get the airport authority onside. There is a long story (drama not comedy) about YOW efforts to try and run their own lounge. AC had to wait until phase 2 before the MLL was allowed in the new terminal. IIRC the place where the contract lounge was to have been located is now a retail area.

This is the same airport authority that has blocked any attempt to connect the O-train with the airport. An airport authority that needs to focus more on the customer experience less on trying to maximise revenue.

I believe YOW wants a connecting stop with stage two of the LRT, and they are willing for pitch in big dollars as well.
