Does anyone know what WS fare codes (like y,q,u etc etc) book into their fare levels like econo, flex and plus?

Why does it matter?
When I buy a ticket I ask about the fare rules when I buy (or when selling via GDS I just look at them myself before I create the PNR.)
It's YOUR responsibility to verify the fare rules when purchasing a ticket IMO.
As long as it earns AA miles it's fine.

I want to know so I can set an alert on Expert Flyer. I purchased a one way LAS-YEG and the only open seats were plus which is fully refundable. If a Flex or Econo pops up, I can refund the flex and purchase a cheaper fare.

I dont care about AA miles as I usually fly *A 99.99% of the time, but any *A flights from LAS to YEG have horrid flight times.

So, if I know what fares plop into what buckets, I can set an alert on expert flyer so I dont have the check the website three times a day.

The above only has plus availablilty.

There aren't any fares with a R fare basis.
There are Y/V/B/Q/L/M fares published (_CR0/_CR), replace _ with bk class.
Therefore, you are looking at a V fare unless you are using a different source.

I said fare basis, not availability.
As in, it is there, but there is no fare that books into R.

Given that in the small segment I looked at on expert flyer as posted above (which only represnts LAS-YEG on August 4) the R value flucuates from 5 to 7 depending on the flight. This to me, says there are fares booking into this class.

If not, who do you know this?

(Ask a TA to list all the fare basis (plural) for las-yeg. You will NOT find one that begins with R.)
