old - new program for new subscribers

Gisela (I did inscribe her to the old program this summer 98) just received the info, that, because she only became a member 3 months ago, she (and ANY points-balance, no minimum for her) will be transfered automatically to the new program.

And that the details of the new program will be published this november 98.

My account was in danger of termination because I had not stayed at Westin lately and they are combining the program with Sheraton. I had occasion to stay at Westin twice over the summer and successfully avoided losing the few thousand points I had. I was pleased to find that Westin also added 20,000 points to my account for re-activation! I'm now looking forward to the combination of the two programs.

Wow that is a great bonus. As Rudi would say - I feel soooo discriminated.

I still have some concerns about the combining of the programs (as I have expressed before.) But congratulations to Gisela Martel and MileKing for getting something before the big change happens.

Also wrote both Westin and Sheraton a while ago to tell them the best things about their programs and suggesting that they put both in this new "starwood" program. HOpefully I was
heard! CATMAN

I am interested to know what you think is the best of both programs.

DEG, that is a moot point since the programs are being merged into one (for answers to your question read the older postings by changing the settings to see postings older than the default 20 days).

I spoke to Westin Premier on Nov 30 and they still did not have any more information on the changes to the program. This does not leave me with a lot of time to decide whether or not I want to transfer my Westin points to Sheraton.
