Consolidated "Restaurants in/near Seattle - suggestions & questions" thread
I'm going to spend this weekend in Seattle.
Any suggestion for good quality, but reasonably priced food ($5-$15)?
Thanks!

Good Chinese Restaurant downtown?
Looking for recommendations for a good Chinese restaurant downtown (specifically, near -- walkable from or a short cab ride from -- the Doubletree Arctic Club hotel). One that delivers would be fine (in fact, might be preferable). Nothing fancy needed, just good!

There's a good variety in the International District which is maybe a 10-15 min. (downhill) walk from the Arctic Club. Or, haven't eaten there, but Julie's Garden near First and Yesler gets good reviews, and also they apparently deliver. Shorter, steeper walk, probably under 10 min.

I think your choices are pretty limited for delivery to downtown hotels. Most of the restaurants that offer delivery are in the neighborhoods and don't deliver to the downtown area.
If you're willing to use a vehicle (taxi or private car, a bus is possible but can be awkward) then the list expands greatly.
In the International District (locally, "I.D.") Green Village is always reliable, but our fave is Seven Stars Pepper, a Szechuan place located in a nondescript strip mall on Jackson near 12th. The Cumin Lamb will blow your mind (and your sinuses if you're not careful). Otherwise there are plenty of good if unremarkable places in the ID, such as House of Hong, Harbor City and Kau Kau BBQ.
In north Seattle (a schlep from downtown but worth it) is Judy Fu's Snappy Dragon, which does deliver (not to downtown) but is worth the trip just for the homemade noodles.

Dine Around Seattle, March 2-27
Spring is almost upon us, and the return of Dine Around Seattle for the month of March. It's a great way to try some local restaurants in the Seattle area.
3 course lunch is $15, 3 course dinner is $30 at quite a few places around town. I hit BlueAcre seafood for lunch downtown yesterday.
Here's the link for anyone who's interested: http://dinearoundseattle.org/

Grubbing Seattle Seafood restaurant
Not looking for a two fork white tablecloth seafood establishment. Any recommendations for a newspaper table cloth, bib and a mallet seafood place? A place to eat with your hands and get dirty.
