SLC - car rentals with AWD

Looking to price a rental car for the period of 2/5 to 2/10 in the SLC or SLC city area....

My question is...other than the usual SUV, what cars out there have AWD or 4WD? Do the cars at hertz/enterprise/etc such as cadillacs have AWD or are they fwd?

Mods, if needed you can repost this as needed in the right forum........

Ensuring you get a rental car with AWD/4WD is very tricky. Even if you reserve a vehicle from one of the SUV categories, many of the models in these categories have base configurations that are 2WD. Many rental fleets will have these vehicles because they are cheaper. You might try calling around directly to rental agencies' local offices or go with a local company that specializes in SUVs.

If you rent from Avis you can get an AWD with an AWD (Avis Worldwide Discount). Sorry.

I treated AWD as an abbreviation for All Wheel Drive. That should be obvious from the context of my post, just as it was in yours.
