High rental car and hotel rates in Denver, 25-27 July 2014. Any idea why?

High rental car and hotel rates in Denver, 25-27 July 2014. Any idea why?
Just looked at hotels and rental prices for July 25-27 weekend and both seem super high. Rentals cars at more than $140/day. What's happening there that I am not aware of?

Prime time for Colorado vacations. Other than that I'm unaware of a specific event.

There are a few conferences going on that weekend. One seems to be bringing 5,000 people which is a large meeting.
