Yes, my tier points transferred too. I did sign up under the North American link (as that is where I am a resident) that was posted in the thread about Continental One Pass or Virgin Flying Club (see link below); I don't know if it is different in the UK or if that makes a difference to tier points transferring or not.

How did you get them to transfer everything from your other account? I am UK based btw. I have called them up and they told me they are not sure if they can do it but will contact FC support and let me know.

Thanks in advance
It actually updated automatically. I had purchased tickets on amex (not platinum though) a few weeks earlier. I was under the impression that you had to buy the tickets after the fact but figured I would give it a try (others had mentioned that it had worked for them even without purchasing tickets). I literally logged into my account right after doing it and it showed up as Silver (with all miles and tier points), but the account number had changed. I called up VS to make sure they had my new # on my reservation (I am doing a Great Escapade fare this summer and wanted to make sure I wasn't going to miss out on these miles) and they mentioned that the old acconut # will automatically translate into the new one. They had both on file already (but she went ahead and changed the # on the reservation anyways).
Hope this helps.
Anyone know when they will send things out to UK based member (previous question was about US based)? Do I need to take a flight to get the kit out? Only joined for the upgrade vouchers.
Got my silver member kit over the weekend, so the answer is no Wish they'd credit the 2000 miles though...
While we're asking followups..have you flown VS this year, or did you just sign up for FC because you could get silver...like a friend of a friend of mine? He's wondering if he might get his kit without flying too.

Thanks for posting this!
Worked for myself, SYD based flyer. Received kit approx 2-3 weeks later. Had 4 tier points earned with HA and all data from my old account transferred over within a few days to the new account number. Haven't got the 2,000 points yet but more than happy with what I received.
Planning on flights on VS this year as they are becoming a more attractive proposition for SYD based flyers given the good AMEX rewards points transfer ratio 1:1 (normally 2:1 for non-Qantas programs).
Also signed a friend up who got the account activated but no card yet, I would assume this happens when we take our first flight.

I signed up the day this thread started, so I guess it took a little over 4 weeks for me to get everything. I used to be VS silver (comped through company but the deal only lasted one year), have been VS red for the last 18 months and haven't flown with them for 30 months or so! The reason I signed up is because I needed 139(!) miles to tip my residual balance over 5000, at which point I'm transferring them to Hilton
