Do Platinums get ANY breaks re cancel or change fees etc?

Do Platinums get ANY breaks re cancel or change fees etc?
Gawd knows the difference between Gold and Plat on Virgin is near zero these days - dumb, dumb, situation on their part, but that is for another thread - or 10. 
Never use miles for domestic usually but decided to just now. My thought was there might be a break for Plats to change or cancel a flight (other than 'Fly Ahead' which may or may not be fine tuned) but it seems not?

Insane. Top tier Elites on virtually any plan globally can cancel at least with no penalty and mostly change with no penalty if inventory is there.
Reading this link shows how little Plats get in Bennies over Gold.
