Quick question [seat choice]
LHR-JFK in 747 day flight. Upperdeck row 1,2 or 7, or in the nose rows 12/14? Need to make quick decision...... thanks!

Hi,
I prefer the upper deck so row 1 or 2 might be good ( Row 1 is closer to the toilet but has an addititonal small stroage shelf).
The nose would also be good ( maybe row 14 rather than 12)
Regards
TBS

747 SFO-LHR. Any comments regarding Upper Deck row 5 forward of the exit doors? Or should we go downstairs in main cabin rows 15-19? (row 12 & 14 unavailable).
Thanks!
Edit to add: Or any other seat recommendations for two traveling together.

have a look at
http://www.seatguru.com - this is pretty good (in my opinion) for finding good seats.
If you're travelling with a partner 6A and 6K are pretty good and private (in some of the Virgin 747's these are 12A and 12K)
I usually prefer to be upstairs, even though I spend most of my time at the bar!

serves me right for not reading your post properly.....
5A and 5K or 15/16A (might be a bit close to the bar though)

I ended up taking upstairs 7k. It was nice - good service actually. I would go upstairs rows 5 or 6. Also easy to wonder down the bar at the bottom of the stairs.
