New Upper Class Dream Suite launches 21st April

VS's new A330 with a 3 class layout will make its debut flight to JFK on April 21st it seems. This will have the new UCDS product, a new bar and the most recent IFE system. Seat maps loaded onto the VS site now too.

Odd that everything is being kept so quiet about this, one would expect the usual VS fanfare. Looking forward to seeing whats new, its current version is still a great product in my view, just looks a little tired on some a/c though.

So, who will post the 1st pic?

Yes, for the moment it is scheduled LHR JFK VS003/004 (6 times a week) from 21APR12, followed by LHR DEL from July 2012.

will they have a new upper class seat? Air Canada has the 'coffin" seats and they are terrible. I have booked a virgin flight LHR-SYD on the 340-600 and wondered if it will be getting new upper class seats.

I don't believe there are any plans for the A340-600's to be refitted - they will all leave the fleet presumably once the 787's are online.

Are the new UC on the A330 seats different to the A346 UC seat?

Yes, in some way, but who knows what.

I think the new UCDS is supplied and designed by three-sixty aerospace.

Hmm...

It's great that it's over 7 feet but it looks like some of the shoulder space in bed mode has been lost.

Agreed. The seats in this pic are basically the new SWISS F seats which are absolutely wonderful. (My last transatlantic trip was in them and I'm completely spoiled.) But they take up waaaay to much space for Beardy to use them for the UCDS.

Looks like a good improvement! Like the new bar style, but the page is not loading correctly for me and the virtual tour is not loading at all. I don't think the page is supposed to be live as yet...
