I've hit all of the top 30. And the top 40.
#42 is the first I haven't been to (this list brought back memories of my one-off flights from places like Oakland and San Jose trying to save $$$ while working in San Ramon)
It tails off from there. 10 from #42-63 are still on my to-do list.
Internationally, the lack of Far East travel means I only have 17 of the top 30.

I'm only missing San Diego, which doesn't surprise me since I live 140 miles from there in Los Angeles.

Of the top 50, I'm missing PDX, BNA, and RSW.
Portland is also the only major U.S. city that neither my wife nor I have ever been to at all. In early 2015, we're going to find some random off-peak weekend when no one else is there and go, just for the hell of it...
I expected to find JAX on this list. That's the other somewhat-big U.S. city that I've never been to, but in terms of airport traffic it's out of the Top 50.

I don't fly in the US much, but I've made connections at lots and visited many of these...the ones I haven't...
8. CLT - Never travelled much in that area, don't fly US air.
9. LAS - Worked ramp for thousands of LAS flights, never been there!
10. PHX - might be going in 2015.
14. MCO
18. BOS - hopefully sometime soon
22. BWI - been to DCA and IAD
24. MDW - always flown united into ORD
26. SLC - don't fly Delta
28 . SAN - drove there the one time I've been
Only missing 9 of the top 30 for a Canadian who doesn't go to the US that often not bad .
In the bottom 33 I've only been to a few, STL, BNA, SNA, SJC, PIT, BUR.

The only two from top 30 that I somehow had missed are two of the Florida ones - MCO and FLL - somehow every time I need to get to Florida, it is either Miami or Tampa...
The ones after #30 are all another story - I had been only on 9 of those...

Without looking at the list, I can say my gap is AUS (Austin, TX).
Now after looking at the list, I can confirm that my hunch is correct!
Missing, for me, is.....
34. Austin (note that if you flew into Austin Mueller, that airport closed)
47. Fort Myers RSW
so 48 of 50 is great!
The list goes down to 63. Of that list, I am missing OGG (Maui), BDL (Harford, a major gap in my opinion), and PVD.
One airport that is not on the Wikipedia list but that I consider important is HPN (Westchester County).

AA and UA flyer out of the Midwest...I'd have to work quite hard to find a routing through there.

As this topic is about US airports, let's shift this thread to the USA forum for further discussion. Thanks! /JY1024, TravelBuzz co-moderator
