Exclamation Call US Airways Executive Offices regarding new Dividend Miles changes

Told today by staff on the Executive Offices call line that are monitoring the response to the gutting of the FF program. I suggested people are concerntrating on status matches to other airlines and have just given up.

This is not the regular Customer relations teams it is the top of the tree when if comes to customer complaints. The director is John Romantic but he won't take any calls personally.

it is a freephone no. and normally no hold time.

Told the changes will be temporary if the reaction if sufficiently adverse.

Complaints to this line in AZ are carefully collated and reviewed every week.

Now is the time to call 1 877 369 6512. Give them you DM no. and status and let leash with yr comments . But make sure the status bonus is the key factor. They claimed today that most people are only worried about domestic first class upgrades and aren't interested in collecting pts. What absolute rubbish and they need to be told.

Make sure you get a case refence no. otherwise the data will no be collated.

While online was also confirmed that for intl DM award reservation the total cost will indeed be $40 Award ticketing fee and $ 50 Award Processing fee.
They are unable to explain why or how 2 fees for one task. tried to claim that the actual act of debiting the miles from one's DM account was separate and hence worth $50 so the total charge after AUG 6 will be $90 and of course there no online option if involves *A partner

BTW they have also slashed their compensation payments from 5000 miles down to 3500 and $250 voucher down to $100 specifically because of the adverse operating conditions

pls call now and get other US FF elites to do likewise

E option?

Long time lurker, first time poster...

Is there an email option?

I want to give it to them for ruining LAS's hub status as well.

I registered my issues with them

Thanks for the contact info. My experience was very similar. Very short hold time, agent patiently let me spill my guts and typed info in her computer system.

Agent indicated to me that there have not been nearly the number of calls that they expected, so it is very important that people call in instead of just complain here.

Apparently this information is going to be accumulated and reviewed at some point.

I was also told that this department did not get much notice that this was coming down. Agent thanked me for calling and sharing my opinions.

At the very least I felt like I got an ear that cared. Unfortunately, she didn't make the changes and has no power to recind them.

Oh yeah, got my file number as well.

We just received the number! How could we call before if we did not have the number?

My fiancé called and got the Executive Offices "we're closed" recording. He left a message with his complaints/concerns, left his DM number and e-mail address, and told them he'd be flying DL!

my email to exec office

Here is the text of the email I sent.

I am new to the traveling world. This is the first year I have been statued. I am dismayed that in my first year, I am going to be switching airlines to CO cross country and WN regionally. Now that you have killed the bonus miles and the 500pt minimum, there is no reason for me to fly you regionally. You have cut most flights out of LAS, the flights out are more expensive than they are into LAS making me have to choose WN for out bound, and foolishly choosing US for the return. your cuts in Vegas has forced me to connect in PHX, to go damn near anywhere, and if I am going to have to connect, I might as well go with an airline that still feeds me, will give me bonus miles, has a larger F class which means a better chance at upgrades, has cleaner planes, and is easier to book award travel on. Not to mention the fact they don't try to sell me a credit card or god knows what else every 5 min of my flight or all the way through the booking process.

I will be canceling my US airways card, and getting on CO's.

Good luck with all those fees...

Exclamation Do not email must call

Do not email. You will get an auto response and no follow up.

you must call 9am to 5pm mon-fri CT . 1 877 369 6512 You must get a case no. . if you email no case number will be issued and you cannot follow up as needed.

Everyone pls call. they seem to be operating on completely false premises and refuse to give any info about their survey process or sampling pool for their conclusion that all their customers accept these changes or are at least indifferent.

the people you are speaking to do detail everything and the info is compiled weekly and taken directly to senior management.

THIS IS THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY OF PROTESTING.

do not say that you have left say that you will in 30 days if benefits not restored.

Note is now more expensive at $30 + 50 to get a ticket issued to Hawaii then it is to go to latin america or caribbean at $40 + 35. every us citizen should find that outrageous.

$80 in fees for PHX-HAWAII all on US metal as opposed to $75 on *A combo ticket with stopover say LAX - UVF

told today 'that was Doug's idea'. What a disgrace Call Call Call

You could call back and get their office hours off the recording and post them here.

I will definitely be calling. Lost bonus AND 500 mile minimums is horrible.

I was stuck in MDT today with another CP from MCO. He did not understand what was going on, he thought it was if flying on a *A airline we lost the bonus. I took him to the website and the forum and he understands now.

Of course we had lots of time.

MDT-PHL-----3 hour delay. We changed to MDT- CLT, 5 minute delay turned into 75 and I missed all connections as it took them 70 minutes to turn the aircraft around in CLT before heading it up to MDT??????

I will also be printing the screen and distributing at the airports!

You can always email Aunt DOT.
http://airconsumer.ost.dot.gov/escomplaint/es.cfm

I'm sure they will get counted in more ways that US could imagine.

Update from tripso.com, Christopher Elliott, editor:

http://www.tripso.com/today/have-air...ot-far-enough/

Quote:
For a few hopeful hours yesterday, it seemed as if at least one airline was going to acknowledge what air travelers have been saying all along: that the new fees by the likes of American Airlines, United Airlines and US Airways have gone too far.

But rumors that US Airways had set up a special toll-free number to field calls from frequent fliers who were upset about its policy changes turned out to be just that — rumors.

The number was the same customer-service phone number it had been using all along.

this is not new number not regular customer relations

If this poster would just try as suggested and us other members have found this is not the regular 'Customer Relations' team in AZ it is a different body of people with greater discretionary pwers and more management access.

The regular Cust Relations line is often swamped my longest holdtime on that was 3 hours and 47 minutes.

This line at the 'EXECUTIVES OFFICES' 1 877 369 6512 has virtually no hold time and they want to hear from you pls call today

Not really.... most effective is to simply walk away and spend your money elsewhere.
