I would say that they are counting on less miles accruing to some pax who have been regular Chairman, Platinum, etc., and because of the change will not make it to their prospective level going forward. To Dougie and his court jesters, that probably makes sense.

I have sent my protest email to anthony.mule@usairways.com, the GP email address, and Customer Relations.

As someone who has taken part in the "Trial Elite" program this year, I feel that by changing benefits half way through the year the airline has committed fraud. I never would have paid the fee to upgrade to Gold if the announced changes were in place. In fact, I would have switched to another carrier. There's no excuse for pulling something like this.

Edit: Hrmm... the anthony.mule address does not seem to exist. This seemed to be the most relevant from the list posted earlier. I'll try executive.office instead.

You might try Doug Parker, the Chairman and CEO

I picked Anthony as his title is Senior Vice President, Customer Service. I don't really see the need to waste the time of a dozen execs that are unrelated to the situation at hand. I'm sure that most of them had nothing to do with the decision. I'll stick with the GP address, Customer Relations and Executive Offices for now. I've asked for a refund of my Trial Preferred fees given that they are not providing the benefits advertised.

As a UA 1K, I fly US about 20 or so times a year now. This really hurts people on the shuttles.

I accumulate MP miles on my US flights and will be curious to see how this affects that.

And just a little input from a former US CP who got tired of the nonsense from the old US: Letter writing gets it off your chest and makes you feel better. If you want to make an impact on US, LEAVE THEM. Find another airline. The only real way to let US know how these decisions impact the airline is for customers to STOP BUYING TICKETS.

I suspect this action has very little to do with fuel costs. US Airways, like many of the other major carriers, probably just sees this as a good opportunity to reduce its mileage liability.

He may have one of the old "first name_last name@usairways.com" addresses. Also, his last name is spelled with one of those accent marks over the "e" but I assume that it wouldn't make a difference. I didn't have email addresses for all those folks, so just used the generic "first.last@usairways.com".....

I apologize for it not working.

And yeah, this is total BS.
It is absolutely time to organize a protest!

I am just trying to imagine those who take the US Airways Shuttle, paying a $400 walk-up fare, and not getting full mileage credit. Acela and DL shuttle, here they come!

Short-haul customers do contribute most to the bottom line as we almost always pay more per mile.

Believe me, I paid a good chunk last year flying 90 segments and only 48,000 miles!

This will be the last straw for me. If the decision is not reversed I will be gone. Time to protest now. NO MORE WAITING.

Also time to look at AA, UA, DL or CO as my possible new airline. Team Tempe has no idea what they have just done.

A Call To Action!!!! Your Help Is Needed!!!!

By now you should have received an e-mail from US Airways regarding changes to the Dividend Miles Program. The FFOCUS Policy Board finds these changes to be draconian and an insult to every loyal traveler.

With the above in mind it is now time to act. We have tried to open channels of communication only to be rebuffed and in one case chastised by a Senior Executive. We must send a message to the management of US Airways that the 500-mile minimum being reduced to actual miles flown is completely and totally unacceptable.

The Policy Board will be actively courting our media contacts regarding these changes. What we need from each and every one of you is your time. The time it takes to write a letter, send an e-mail or call the US Airways and let them know in no uncertain terms just exactly how you feel regarding this change. Below are ways to contact US Airways and make sure your voice is heard.

executive.office@usairways.com - Phone number is 480-693-2341
brad.beakley@usairways.com - Vice President, Reservations and Inventory Services
travis.christ@usairways.com - Vice President, Sales and Marketing
douglas.parker@usairways.com - Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
elise.eberwein@usairways.com - Senior Vice President, People, Communication and Culture
scott.kirby@usairways.com - President
robert.isom@usairways.com - Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
suzanne.boda@usairways.com - Senior Vice President, East Coast, International and Cargo Operations
kerry.hester@usairways.com - Vice President Customer Service Planning
tom.trenga@usairways.com - Vice President, Revenue Management
andrew.nocella@usairways.com - Vice President, Revenue Management

What we request is if you e-mail more than one of the above, and we encourage you to do so, that you send them individually not as one e-mail to everyone. Snail mail is even more effective. The regular Customer Relations address is:

US Airways
Attention: Customer Relations
4000 E. Sky Harbor Blvd.
Phoenix, AZ 85034
Fax: 480-693-2300

Address for Corporate Executives

US Airways Corporate Headquarters
111 W. Rio Salado Parkway
Tempe, AZ 85281
480-693-0800

This is a battle we can win if we all do our part. Be on FlyerTalk and speak out early and often. Call, write, fax and e-mail your honest feelings. Let the powers that be know your displeasure. Now is the time for action. I urge you all to join us and to tell your friends and business colleagues and urge them to speak out as well. The Policy Board is counting on your help as we cannot do it alone, we need you with us on this one.

Warmest regards,
The FFOCUS Policy Board

This is absolutely nuts. I fly TA a lot but I also fly a lot of short hops. From GSO-CLT is only 90 miles. From PHL to ABE is maybe 50 miles. I guess I will drive to RDU and fly Southwest to PHL and drive to ABE.

I sent e mails to the addresses provided telling them that if they do this I will go to United. I really will. This is insane . I have been CP for several years. I realize that they don't care about us but this is insulting!

I guess we should try to make our status buying flowers or by using the credit card. If they do this properly, people won't fly at all, and just use the alternate methods to status. I am steaming mad about this one.

This does it for me. I fly many short hops and pay often prices comparable to TA flights on US. Fine if they want to think about their bottom line (although I don't see any relationship between the DM program and fuel prices; the former is a cash cow), but loyalty stops somewhere and I have to think about mine.

My wife and I fly 99% of the time together for both work and pleasure and due to US' last s... up in January she finally refused to fly them any longer. I'm still putting miles on US with several flights scheduled on UA already reaching Silver this month; however, they might as well go to UA to built status there and hope for the CO/UA merger since we fly them mostly this year and likely in the future. I hate to miss the convenience of HVN-PHL, but I've gotten used to driving to BDL.

I will write letters as suggested, but my experience with US, enforced by reading this board gives me little hope for any change of heart from their side.

The grass may not always be greener on the other side of the fence, but at this point it is at least green rather than brown.
