Frances Mcdormand

I sat opposite of Frances McDormand on a flt from LGA to CLT. She was with her agent (or what seemed to be agent) talking over a script so I didn't bother her. But I sure did want to get a picture :-) She is hysterical in Fargo.

Chris Matthews

Chris Matthews, host of HARDBALL on MSNBC - DCA/LGA shuttle.

He travels kind of disheveled, and from what I could tell, I was the only person, or one of few to recognize him, since he looked little like he does when he is on the air. I am a political junkie, so I watch Hardball every night. I did not speak with him.

Not really a celebrity, but Christina from the Amazing Race a few seasons ago. DCA-MSY a couple of months ago - she was in F.

A while back I was sitting in 1st class when a (AWA) FA opened a Coke that spewed all over this lady wearing white stockings. She didn’t move as she was sound asleep. But you could see the splatter on her legs. Found out from talking to the FA after that it was Madonna in cognito. She had on a scarf, wig and dark sunglasses.

Flying PHX to LA a lot we get the B list celebs.
Sat next to Tom Arnold this year, have also been on flights with Gary Coleman, Richard Simmons, Cheech Marin and all of Motley Crew, Kareem Abdul Jabar, Gene Hackman (not B list).
Before Linda died I also saw Sir Paul McCartney getting on a JFK bound flight in PHX once. Was shocked that he fle coach.

Oh, also had Producer Tim Burton and his wife Lisa Marie(?) on a flight once but I didn't know who they where until overhearing others talk about them.

I'm terrible when it comes to spotting celebrities. Usually my wife or a friend will have to lean over and tell me about a celebrity sighting or more often a celebrity sighting I missed. However I did have one that really did excite me in August of 2006.

CLT-EWR- John McEnroe

While I didn't see him on the plane, I ended up standing beside him at the baggage claim where we waited for about 45 minutes for our bags. Realizing he had been on the same flight and knowing that he had been at a tennis tournament that had just concluded in Charlotte, I started to chat with him about the tournament and complain about the wait in baggage claim. He didn't say a lot, but he was fairly nice, despite having to deal with the long wait and it being almost midnight.

Hmm, if McEnroe didn't get upset about the long wait for baggage, maybe we all need to relax a little?

In the almost 18 years I've been living in LA, I've only seen:

Melody Thomas Scott from Young & The Restless (LAX-PIT)
Bob Denver (CLT-LAX)
Bruce Willis (BA LAX-LHR)

You would think that after hundreds of flights in and out of LAX, I would spot more than these 3 celebrities!

There are more celebrities than that living in my building.

Does the dog that Target uses as in its ads count as a celebrity?? If so, I saw him on a flight recently from BUR/PHX. Had his own seat in first class and everything. The dog was also wearing the painted on bullseye. The FA even showed me the manifest where the dog was listed as Dog, Target. I have to say the dog was better behaved than a few of the passengers on the flight.

Let's see my list is:

Darryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins - PHL-LAX
Donovan McNabb - in PHX Club and 3 or 4 times in F, PHL-PHX, PHX-PHL
AG Eric Holder - ROC-PHL, sat next to him, chatted a bit.
Bob Brown - Producer Fox Sports

Not terribly impressive.

Jennifer Garner Affleck was on the 1530 DCA-BOS Shuttle... She was nice enough to sign a few autographs for the employees. The guy sitting next to her had no clue who she was!!!

I wasn't on the plane when this happened but I did fly US to get to ORD.

Staying at the W I'm in the elevator with Cheech Marin and he keeps looking over with that DYKWIA "look". I totally ignored him until we got to the 15th floor when I turned, smiled and said "Have a good evening, Mr Marin"
