no fee, this is through the points.com transfer..not those trades where they charge you a fee. just keep in mind that there is a min of 15K to transfer and 50K max per transaction, and lastly 100K max per year.

That's very good news. Thanks for the heads up. Cheap way to get AA miles, then!

Yup - except subject to AA rules, so no oneways, no changes etc (but US award chart I guess, so pretty good if you want a short hop to Asia!)

Same ratio displayed but exchange button not active for me
I am one of the "abusers" trapped by aeroplan move last year to limit it to 100k out

Still, be quick and take advantage of a 100k Amex:84k AA opportunity this year while it lasts

I am one of those who was going to transfer my AE miles to US last year but then they stopped it. Then AE announced some changes that seemed to make the program better (e.g. oneway at 50% miles). So, I was glad I could not do it.

Now that US merged with AA and the new merged program details are not fully known yet. However, I would expect to be more like AAdvantage than DM, which for me is better. I wonder if I should pull the trigger now. Thoughts?

I have plenty of UA miles to redeem if I need AC.

I'd assume there's going to be a "honeymoon" period where everything is good and you can transfer miles between programs and book partners etc etc then the new award chart will come out and I'm fairly sure it's going to suck a la ua/dl so if you can burn now sure.

Tried exchanging 50K for 42K, in Mrs. Selfish's account and my own 2 days ago. Just got a message on hers saying:

"Unfortunately, your exchange has been cancelled as we were unable to process it. If you would like to try again, please visit Points.com"

Still haven't heard back on mine, and I am unable to log into her account anymore (just throws a password error now). Has anyone made a successful trade this month?

I made 2 transfers Aeroplan >> USDM, both successful (took 3 days, 1/7~1/10, then 1/11~1/14), from my own Aeroplan to my own USDM account

Make sure the names match
