A new non-stop from PHL...always a positive for me! :-) Now I just need to come up with a reason to go to Salt Lake City ;-)

If I recall, they announced but did not start this a few years ago. Let's hope it's a go and is sustainable.

I agree as well. SLC is a right choice for you. It's easier and is more convenient for you.

This route was announced last year along with CLT-SLC, however PHL-SLC was intended to be seasonal. It never started.
Here's a flyertalk forum about the removal of the route from the system:
Phl-Slc axed before start.

If the flight arrives in PHL at 21:04 (9:04PM?) how will people connect to European flights? Most are well gone by that time.

Reading the times wrong. Arrives PHL in early afternoon.
I wonder if this is a same-plane turn, or whether it will go on to PHX -- seems like an awful lot of time on the ground at both ends.

It's a West A320, which also does routes like PHL-PDX/SMF/PHX/SEA/LAS/SAN/DEN/SFO/LAX and even some occasional more easterly routes, so I'm sure they'll send it somewhere to maintain aircraft utilization and just use a different West 320 for the return flight.

I saw US adjusted the SLC-CLT schedule awhile back where the plane ended up doing the morning SLC-PHX and back before it went back to CLT.
Nice to see some more options to SLC as I had some ties to the area. CLT-SLC was usually an easy upgrade too being - even silvers could hit that one with empty F seats. Now if only PHL wasn't such a hole ...
